LEAP Innovations

Creating a sustainable digital transformation for LEAP Innovations

Overview

LEAP Innovations is a national nonprofit that transforms how children learn. They work directly with schools, educators and innovators to discover, pilot and scale personalized learning strategies and technologies. Though we initially partnered with LEAP to redesign their website, as we worked together, our goals and impact expanded. Together, we transformed proprietary content and insights, resources and tools into new digital experiences for an educator community. We also crafted a vision for a new professional development digital platform aimed at scaling LEAP’s methodologies and services while introducing new revenue opportunities.

To enable LEAP’s continued digital transformation and growth, we supported the team with new skills and strategies, introduced experience design via workshops and closely collaborated with LEAP stakeholders throughout the project. We helped the LEAP team look at problems and opportunities through a lens of design thinking, bridging the gap between reactionary digital efforts and intentional behavioral outcomes.

Translating Content & Tools into a Digital Experience

Outcomes

Outcomes of our engagement with LEAP included, but were not limited to:

  • Developed insights and a shared understanding: LEAP developed a new lens of empathy to better understand teachers' experiences with technology by participating directly in qualitative research and its synthesis.
  • Established digital design foundations: LEAP established a baseline for future digital design efforts. This was LEAP’s first major redesign as a team and a valuable learning experience.
  • Accelerated developmenting with prototyping: Inzovu introduced prototyping and testing to LEAP’s digital tool development process, speeding development and saving LEAP the costs associated with post-launch changes to digital assets.
  • Co-created design models: With Inzovu’s partnership, a co-design model for workshopping new ideas with teachers was established. LEAP incorporated these collaborative sessions with teachers into their agenda for professional development and training, speeding delivery from concept to implementation.

Testimonial

Working with Inzovu, I learned a lot about the design process and how it should touch, impact, and integrate every aspect of our organization. Courtney Reilly, Director of Special Programs, LEAP Innovations
